Just Another Post
Well, I wasn't able to post all the pictures I wanted to, so maybe I'll try later. Anyway, yesterday I went for yet another walk. This time I went to the Luxembourg Gardens. There's a place in the gardens for kids to play and such, which definitely brought back the feeling (no specific memories) of being a kid in France. It made me realize how much I love it here, but also how much I miss my family.
Then I made my way over to the Montparnasse Cemetery and saw Jean Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir's grave. Aparrently, Serge Gainsbourg and Manray are buried there too, but I didn't see their graves. While I was in the cemetery, I started to hear shouting and chants, and realized that there was an anti-Israeli march today. So I walked a bit around Montparnasse and saw the protest briefly.
I went into the Galeries LaFeyette, but it wasn't nearly impressive as the one we went to with Isabelle, but it was warm inside. Then I made my way over to Forum des Halles to look for the FNAC (kinda like best buy) so that I could buy tickets to the Of Montreal concert this Saturday. Alright, so this place is an underground mall, so they indicate the levels as -1,-2, etc...but instead of having the ground floor be zero and the lowest floor be -3, it's completely opposite. Anyway, once I got that figured out I got my ticket and I'm so excited! I think a few other people from school might be going, but even if they don't I know it'll still be a good time.

Une Promenade
Hier Soir
So yesterday I had to be at the Center by 7, so I left the apartment at 6 and it was soo dark. On the metro there were a bunch of young people be lively and loud, and I realized that they were still out from the night before. Once I got off the metro in the 2nd arr. there were sooo many drunk people and apparently even though it was morning they still say "Bon soir" since it was dark out. The metro here closes around 1.30 or 2 am on the weekends, so people tend to just hang around until it starts back up in the morning.
We got on the bus and left Paris in the dark and when we came back it was dark again. Winter really gets on my nerves sometimes. So people were talking about going out tonight, while I was planning on going back to the apartment to catch up on sleep, but I realized that I really did need to go out and have some fun, since I was starting to feel a bit grumpy and moppy.
We all met at the Pont Neuf and got some booze. I got a big bottle of a french beer called 1664 I guess. It was really good, and just enough for me to be happy cheeked and try to speak in french. So we hung out by the Seine under the bridge and met some guys that were playing guitar and rapping which was pretty awesome.
So, the plan was to hang out there awhile and then go to a club called The Showcase and get there before midnight so that there would be no cover charge...but we were kind of late...and came in a big group....of Americans....we didn't get in. Oh well. I took the metro home (I really want to avoid taking a taxi) along with a girl who lives near me. When I got to the apartment I realized I didn't remember what floor it was on. So I tried every floor until I got it right..the 7th and last one. And then I got to talk with Mom which was wonderful and sleep in which was also wonderful. Anyway, here are some blurry pictures...
La Premiere Semaine
Wow, it feels so long ago from when I took the train into Paris and walk from the Gare du Nord to the hotel. Anway, here are some pictures!

Some really weird baby posters...I'm not sure what they were for

Reims ( I found out that it's supposed to kind of with France..it's pretty hard to say)
